How will 5G be part of bringing the cable assemblies for higher frequencies into a mass market?
The new 5G or 6G standard gives us as users a higher data rate plus bandwidth. This means that the operating frequencies go up. Optimally choosing your measuring cable
5G means extreme bandwidth of data for Internet of Things, Autonomous Cars, Machine to Machine. 5G means transmission frequencies are increasing. Our optimal 5GHz frequency means 24 to 100GHz, our users need cables in the range of 1GHz, 2GHz to 6GHz and, 24 to 44GHz.
Is there actually a 5G connector?
For us in elspecgroup it is the connector 2.92mm, also called K-connector. Structure analogous to the SMA series - the high frequency connector in the industry. Inside is a precision air dielectric and this connector is available in 2 special versions, once in the version IP67 and in the version mode-free up to 44GHz, the Expanded K version. Expert tip: if it should be smaller, there is the precision SMP and the SMPmini.
